Rev. Fr. Cannio Remedio Cardozo, OCD, is a Carmelite priest, writer, and educator from Camurlim, Salcete, Goa, India. He was ordained to the priesthood on January 18, 2014, at Our Lady of Candelaria Church in Camurlim, Goa.
He holds a B.Sc., Ph.B., B.Th., and an M.A. in English Literature. Over the years, he has served in various ministries in India, including as a vocation promoter, youth director, and bursar. In Canada, he has served as an assistant pastor and as a high-school chaplain for seven years, accompanying young people in their faith journeys and search for meaning.
Fr. Cannio is also an author. He has written four books: All I Have Is I (2021), All I Have Is You
(2024), All I Have Is Them: Life with Lives (2025), and Needle of Forgiveness (2026), a novel rooted in Goan culture and exploring the transformative power of forgiveness.
His ministry and writing are inspired by a simple yet profound conviction: life finds meaning through our relationships-with ourselves, with others, and with God’s creation.
